Cheryl's Bio

Cheryl has been connected to KVPI since a young teenager when she replaced her older sister doing a weekly homemaker's program called "Listen Ladies" . After some time in college, Cheryl came home to Ville Platte to become the Traffic Manager, the position she still holds today. No, she doesn't direct traffic but it's a radio term which means she handles the commercial and program logs for the two radio stations. In addition, she does some production and on-air news on a regular basis. When not behind her familiar front desk in the reception area, she enjoys spoiling her grandchildren and traveling.

The Louisiana Swamp Pop Museum operated by the City of Ville Platte is open to the public every Friday and Saturday from 10:00am to 3:00pm. Come view the amazing artifacts, photos, records, Wall of Fame and hear the music. Admission charge is $3 adults, $2 seniors and $1 for children under 12. The museum is located on Northwest Railroad Avenue.
