Tobin is on his second go ‘round at KVPI having started as a Sacred Heart High School student in 1985.
Over the last few decades, he has worked in radio practically non-stop in programming, operations, music, promotions, management and on-air. He spent 5 years in Lafayette and 15 years in Boise, Idaho where he was named Best Radio Personality by the Idaho State Broadcasters’ Association. The Oldies format is one of his favorites because it’s the best of the best of the best music that EVERYBODY knows.
Tobin attended USL and Boise State University where he received his Master’s degree in education. He has recently moved back to Ville Platte to help and support his family and is glad to be on-air once again at KVPI. He enjoys traveling, Grisham and chocolate, preferably all together. |

Congratulations to Dr. J.S. Fontenot who has been selected as the Ville Platte Chamber of Commerce Business of the Month. He has been an optometrist in Ville Platte for the past 48 years and a past KVPI Engineer and Staff Announcer. He also served on the Ville Platte City Council from 1977-1997.
