My Saturday show from 12 noon to 6:00pm is
done “Old School” Style featuring Oldie s R&B, Southern Soul, Zydeco,
various styles of music including the Blues. The show is patterned
after two of my radio DJ idols from back “in the day”: the great
Paul “Toby” Thibeaux and Phil Phillips who had the 1959 hit “Sea of
Love.” When I was growing up, I thought they were the greatest. Later in life, both became good friends of mine. Their style of
talking on the air to their listeners as if their listener was
sitting in the same room with them was full of fun and laughter.
Just like it was for them, I get the same response from my
listeners. That is, another DJ can come on and play the
same songs
but it is not the same. It is not me. This lets me know that what
I’m trying to do with the show is working. My audience appreciates
my show and know that I have a lot of respect for all of them.

The show features different artists and every year in May we
have a
Tyrone Davis tribute celebration by featuring his music for two
hours which is sponsored by a local merchant and is a very popular
feature during the month.
During Black History month in February, we feature moments in Black
History. We get sponsors to sponsor each individual moment in black
history. If you are a potential sponsor, there may be other features
that we do that may be right for you and your business. Just call me
for details at 337-363-2124 or 337-506-2444. Email me at
